Consulting
Environmental plans and documentation
Documents a regulator will accept and a contractor can actually follow, instead of a template that sits in a drawer.
The problem
What this service is for
Most approvals require a stack of named plans before work can start, and many sites either pay a large consultancy for generic documents or copy an old plan from another project. Either way the plan rarely matches what happens on site, and when something goes wrong the plan is the first thing an inspector reads.
What is included
What I can prepare and do
Dust management plans
Dust and air quality management plans that identify sources, set controls by surface and activity, define triggers and monitoring, and record who does what when the wind picks up.
Erosion and sediment control plans
Staged erosion and sediment control plans for earthworks and disturbed areas: clean water diversion, sediment controls, stabilisation sequencing, inspection and maintenance.
Rehabilitation scoping and plans
Scoping of what rehabilitation an area needs to meet its conditions, through to rehabilitation plans covering landform, soils, seed mixes, methods, timing, and the criteria the result will be judged against.
Site remediation and reinstatement plans
Practical plans to stabilise and reinstate disturbed, eroded or failed areas, including sites where a previous rehabilitation attempt has not held.
Soil and water management plans
Plans that tie together topsoil handling, stockpile management, drainage and surface stabilisation so that dust and sediment are managed as one problem.
Environmental management plan sections
Dust, erosion, soil and rehabilitation sections for a construction or site environmental management plan, written to fit the plan your project already has.
Monitoring, inspection and compliance reporting
Rehabilitation monitoring, dust and erosion inspections, and plain reports that show a regulator what was done, when, and whether it is working.
Audits against conditions
A review of what the approval, licence or contract requires against what is actually in place on site, with a prioritised list of gaps.
Where it applies
Industries this is used on
Mining
Dust control on haul roads and stockpiles, and progressive rehabilitation of disturbed areas, on operating and closing sites.
Civil and infrastructure
Dust and erosion control during earthworks, and revegetation of batters and corridors at completion.
Energy and renewables
Dust suppression during construction and revegetation of solar farms, wind farm access tracks, transmission corridors and gas sites.
Government and local councils
Dust, erosion and rehabilitation on council and government land: quarries, depots, road reserves, reserves, landfill caps and works sites, with the plans and records public bodies are expected to keep.
Independent landholders
Practical advice for farmers, graziers and private landowners dealing with dust, erosion or bare ground, including land affected by someone else's project.
Related services
Often combined with
Consulting and site assessment
Independent assessment of your dust or rehabilitation problem, a method that fits, and a plan you can put in front of a regulator.
Dust suppression
Dust control on haul roads, stockpiles, laydown areas and exposed ground, specified to suit the surface and delivered to that specification.
Revegetation and land rehabilitation
Re-establishing vegetation on batters, disturbed ground, stockpiles and closed areas using hydroseeding and hydromulching.
Product supply
Dust suppressants, binders, mulch and seed mixes matched to your ground and supplied for crews who prefer to apply with their own equipment.
Have a site with dust or rehabilitation conditions to meet?
Send the location, area and what you need to meet. I will come back with what an assessment would cover and a fixed fee where I can, with no obligation to go further.
